Wellness Initiative Yoga

This semester-long series is a playful introduction to yoga. Through flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises and creative relaxation techniques, we encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills. Partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions that the students are sure to carry into their everyday lives. Children are guaranteed to learn and have tons of fun.

Young Rembrandts Art Enrichment

Young Rembrandts’ innovative, step-by-step drawing method can teach any child how to draw regardless of artistic ability, giving them skills to express their creativity that will last a lifetime. We provide all materials and brand new subject matter every week, ranging from animals, landscapes, still lifes, even art history. Our philosophy is to give children a very positive, nurturing environment, as we teach fundamental drawing techniques.

After-School Spanish Classes

The Elementary Spanish Program offers enrichment classes after school for all elementary students. The introductory programs provide students with a strong auditory foundation so that they will feel comfortable hearing and speaking Spanish. More advanced classes offer an introduction to reading and writing in Spanish. Classes are split into two 10-week sessions, for a total of 40 classes. Scholarships and sibling discounts are available.

Bits Bytes & Bots Computer Game Creation

 

If you want to see what it would be like to be a game designer, this class is for you. You create maze, strategy, and a variety of other types of games. You learn about creating sprites, objects, events and actions. Design a room, make it look the way you want, add objects and play your game. We'll teach you how to display health, lives, score, splash screens and high score tables. Using drag and drop programming, you'll be creating professional looking games you can play with your friends.

Bit Bytes & Bots Movie Making

If you've ever wanted to direct your own movies then this is for you. This is a great class to take with friends. No experience is necessary and you can take this class as many times as you like. A Brick film is an animated film that uses LEGO® characters to tell a story. Using digital cameras, Stop Motion Pro animation software, and video editing software, you'll create multi-scene movies with transitions, titles, credits, sound effects and narration. Design your own set with backgrounds, characters, and scenery.
