Ms. Gannett earned an M.A. in counseling
from the University of Colorado at Denver.
This is her fifth year at Peak to Peak. She also is a part time
professor at CU Denver for the counseling psychology graduate students.
Previously, she directed the 9Health Fair In The Classroom program,
educating Colorado
students about issues such as substance abuse, eating issues, stress,
nutrition, exercise, leadership and wellness. She also taught Spanish for
six years at the middle and high school levels at Alexander Dawson
School, where she was
recognized as the student-selected Teacher of the Year.
Ms.
Campbell has more than eight years of experience in counseling and education,
including four years of counseling abused and neglected children. Ms.Campbell
graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder
with a B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology and received a dual
Master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling and Public School
Counseling from the University of Colorado at Denver. Ms.
Campbell is passionate about
international cultures and spent two years studying and traveling to more
than 32 countries, including an intensive study in Nepal. In her free time she enjoys traveling,
running, hiking, and cooking.
Mr. Mitchell
has more than 32 years of experience in high school education and more than
24 years in
high school counseling. He began as
a high school business teacher and then
moved into counseling at a large public high school in
the Denver Metro area. After 20
years
of
counseling at this level, he served
for four years as the college counselor at the
University of Denver High School. His experiences at D.U. allowed him to tour
and gain
valuable
insights into working with major colleges and universities throughout the
United
States. He has a wide range
of experiences that include coaching swimming, track and field,
and a variety of youth sports. A proud Colorado native, he attended the
University of
Northern
Colorado (B.A.) and Colorado
State University
(M.A.). He also has a license for
secondary school administration.
Ms. Salvo earned a M.S. in
Counseling and Human Services from Canisiusm College
in Buffalo, New York. Previously she taught at Herman Badillo Bilingual
Academy, a Middle School in New York. Ms. Salvo
also ran the P.E.C.E. program, a school to work and community service
project for underprivileged youth in Buffalo.
This is her third year at Peak to Peak.
Jennifer Barker (Counselor): Ms. Barker never imagined that
bringing an end her 17 years as a music therapist could have been met with
such a phenomenal new beginning as joining the staff at Peak to Peak. She is grateful for the opportunity to be
a counselor here, and humbled by depth of knowledge, care, and hard work
that precedes her in making this a wonderful place to be. She was raised in New
Mexico and spent her work life in Arizona
and Colorado. She lives life with a lot of hope
exemplified each summer by her belief that the Rockies
will make it to the play-offs.
Outside of work, her dog is the first to greet her every day, and
her three children offer opinions about her outfits, share her life, and
make her laugh every day.
Vicki Lundquist (Registrar): Ms. Lundquist is a California
native, but spent most of her informative years in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In her early adult years the call of the ocean took her back to California where she
met and married her husband and they started their family. In 1999 she
became a California transplant once again
when they moved to Broomfield.
Following a decade of bookkeeping work Ms. Lundquist was extremely
fortunate to be able to merge into the life of stay-at-home mom after this
move. She and her two children came to Peak to Peak in the 2003/2004 school
year. She started as a volunteer and then soon comfortably moved into an
office paraprofessional position. Being informed and involved in her
children’s school was the motivating factor with the gradual
transition back into the work force. In January 2007, she gratefully took
the position of Peak to Peak’s registrar. Other than the occasional
need to travel back to California for a
visit to the beach or a quick trip to Disneyland,
Colorado and Peak to Peak
have become home.
Ms.
Johnson graduated from Stonehill College
with a degree in Special Ed. She has had a variety of wonderful jobs,
selling real estate in Greenwich Village, dress buyer for a large
department store group, liaison for a large international company and her
favorite, planting French Gardens for a large florist in Boulder.
Since moving to Colorado,
Mrs. Johnson has mostly concentrated on fundraising for her
children’s schools. She loves the opportunity to be at Peak to Peak, and
is most impressed with the high school students who are in and out of the
counseling office.
