My Mission

I will teach through the arts to instill a joy of learning in my students. I will teach them to extend their education beyond the classroom and encourage them to have a meaningful relationship with arts throughout their lives.

About Me

As a native of Columbus, Ohio I have pursued living and teaching in Colorado for the past two years. A lifelong Buckeye, I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelors in Art Education. I am currently completing my Masters Degree based in Digital Art and Photography from The Ohio State University. My thesis involves designing meaningful curriculum for Digital Art and Photography courses for high school students.

As a practicing artist and art educator I have always known that I wanted to live out west. Through researching schools and talking to fellow educators, I discovered Peak to Peak Charter School. I am both honored and proud to be apart of a dynamic community focused on individual student success through skill mastery. Throughout this semester I hope to impart the skills and techniques needed for your student to better understand art and artists.

In order to create a classroom environment where all students can learn and create, I enforce classroom rules based on respect and responsibility. In the lively discussions of the materials we are studying, I insist on a safe environment where students can express their thoughts and feelings while being tolerant and respectful of other views.
