PEAK TO PEAK JUNIOR
RECEIVES BOULDER COUNTY YOUTH AWARD
(LAFAYETTE)
– Peak to Peak High School Junior Krishna Kennedy of Lafayette has been chosen by the Boulder County
Commissioners as one of four regional 2007 Metropolitan Mayors and
Commissioners Youth Award honorees. The
four Boulder County
winners will be honored at a banquet on May 13, 2007, along with winners from
Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, and Jefferson Counties.
The MMCYA program recognizes teens who have
overcome challenges of personal adversity and serve as inspirations and role
models. Krishna
was one of 32 youths presented with an MMCY Award on March 1st, and
one of four award winners selected for regional recognition. Among Krishna’s activities, he serves as a
math tutor, helps raise money for the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Conservation
Reserve, and works to secure donations for the international nonprofit All
Together Now, a group that supports hospitals and orphanages in Nepal.
