PEAK TO PEAK ALL GOLD AT ELITCH MUSIC FESTIVAL

(LAFAYETTE) – The band, orchestra, and choral groups from Lafayette’s Peak to Peak CharterHigh School were solid gold at the 2007 Elitch Gardens Music Festival. The Phoenix Fire Choir, Concert Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band, and Wind Symphony were each awarded a gold medal for their performances on May 25^th. Junior Weston Anderson received an outstanding soloist award during the Chamber Orchestra performance, and junior Alyssa Carlson and sophomore Andrew Wolfe received outstanding soloist awards during the Wind Symphony performance.

“We’re so proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Heather Andony, the Peak to Peak choir director and electivesmusic department team leader. “It was a great opportunity for us to showcase the outstanding talents of our music students at Peak to Peak.” TAdditionally, the Peak to Peak Puma Pride Choir did not perform at Elitch’s as they are preparing towill perform on June 11^th at Carnegie Hall in New York City with the Colorado Reparatory Singers Choir.
