Peak to Peak Charter Middle School achieved 2^nd place in Brain Bowl!

(Lafayette, Colorado) On Saturday, January 21^st middle school teams from all over Colorado and Wyoming competed for top honors as they showed off their team skills and general knowledge of math, science, history, current events, literature and more in the 2006 Optimist Brain Bowl Invitational Tournaments. A 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade team from Peak to Peak participated in the qualifying rounds throughout the morning. Total scores from a written as well as many oral rounds determined whether the teams would compete in the afternoon’s elimination rounds. All three Peak to Peak teams qualified for the elimination rounds as being one of the top eight scoring teams per grade. After the eliminating rounds our 8^th grade team achieved fourth place. Our 7^th grade team (in the above picture) went through to the final round and achieved second place. All students had so much fun and are planning to compete again next year.
