PEAK TO PEAK LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

(LAFAYETTE) – Peak to Peak Charter School broke ground Thursday on the school’s new library media center.  The $2.1 million, 16,000 square foot building will include a K-5 library and a 6-12 library on the ground floor and six classrooms on the second floor.  “Peak to Peak is very excited to be breaking ground on the final construction phase of our campus,” said Christine Howard, Vice President of the Peak to Peak Board of Directors.  “This library centerpiece has been a vision for Peak to Peak since day one.”

The building is the final phase of the school’s original master plan, and is the result, in part, of last November’s bond election when voters approved the issuance of almost $300 million in bonds by the Boulder Valley School District.  The school received approximately $1.6 million of the BVSD bond money for the project.  Quinlan Construction, Inc., is the general contractor and the building was designed by SlaterPaull Architects, Inc.
