Friends of Peak to Peak Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that exists solely
to raise funds to support Peak to Peak Charter School, based on essential
budget priorities. "Friends" is run by a Board of Directors and is
governed by laws that directly align with the school’s by-laws.
OUR CHALLNGE: As a charter school, Peak to Peak faces the very
real and specific financial challenge of repaying bond debt that was secured to
fund our original buildings. We currently use a healthy portion of our district
PPR (per pupil revenue) funding to pay down this debt. We are challenged every
year with replacing these dollars.
WE MEET THIS CHALLENGE
BY: In addition to operating
in a fiscally conservative manner, Peak to Peak conducts an Annual Gift
Campaign, hosts special events, supports on-going fundraisers like scrip (gift
cards), on-line giving, box tops, food labels, boosters and does grant writing.
Coordinated
Fund Development Efforts ~ In order
to ensure that there is a coordinated effort in all areas of fundraising for
Peak to Peak Charter School, please see the Development Director for approval
of all fundraising projects. This includes all fundraising (large or small)
done on behalf of Peak to Peak Charter School, conducted by parents, students,
staff, coaches, businesses and/or any other organizations and committees,
including Boosters. This also includes any grant writing done on behalf
of Peak to Peak Charter School.
