The Peak Gala
Updates on the 2020 Peak Gala:
- The Online Auction will remain open through Spring Break! Please spend this extra time to look through the items and support our business and individual donors with your generous bids!
- Peak to Peak did experience a financial hit due to the last minute need for cancellation and non-refundable expenses. We are very appreciative of our partnership with the Omni Hotel for working with us towards a fair agreement on our largest event expense, including carrying over a portion of our food and beverage payment to next year's event.
- Peak to Peak is offering full or partial ticket refunds to those who are interested. If you would like a refund, please fill out this form by April 6, 2020. Tickets that are not refunded will be considered 100% tax deductible donations to support the financial impacts from this cancellation - including help cover non-refundable costs and help supplement the $150,000 fundraising goal for this event.
- The Peak to Peak Online Raffle "Fly, Bike, Drive or Walk Away with the Cash" has been extended through March 31st. Thank you for purchasing raffle tickets that directly support Peak to Peak.
Again, we thank our Puma family for their continued support and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
Dear Peak to Peak Community,
It is with a heavy heart that the Peak to Peak Board, the school leadership team, and the Friends Office have decided to cancel this year’s gala, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, March 13th. We unanimously agree that this is the most responsible decision for everyone in our community. Even though there are currently no confirmed cases in Boulder County, the guidance from the health department is clear that avoiding social gatherings is warranted at this time. We all have an individual and collective responsibility to reduce the potential spread of the virus as best we can; this decision is a reflection of the Peak to Peak community doing our part.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate the challenges of canceling this event. As we gather more information and draw conclusions about the impacts of canceling, we will communicate with you about our next steps. Many creative people in our community are working to develop alternative activities and events in order to meet our fund development goals for the year. If you have ideas or strategies, we welcome your participation in this effort.
Thank you for your understanding, and for your support of our Puma community. We will back in touch soon. In the meantime, be well and take good care of yourselves and your families!
