Ms. Colleen Elliott

Mrs. Elliott has over 2 decades of experience developing strategy and organizational effectiveness in the health care space. She earned her B.A. in psychology and M.B.A. from Miami University, Ohio and began her health care career journey, leading nursing homes as a licensed health facility administrator, and developing skills in knowledge transfer strategy at a tech start-up. Her traditional career culminated in several leadership roles for multi-billion-dollar health care providers, leading and developing teams, spearheading innovative learning programs, and aligning strategy with talent and processes to drive positive change in health care. Mrs. Elliott is currently the co-founder of a business that aligns her career path with her values to promote optimal health. She is a devoted parent of two Peak to Peak students (1st grader and 7th grader) and has enjoyed serving at Peak to Peak in the classroom and as a member of the Hiring and Organization Development committee. Mrs. Elliott is a fitness enthusiast, horse and dog owner, and a Colorado-lifestyle lover. She enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and all-time outdoors with family, friends, and pets.

For over twenty years, Heather has worked for several prestigious fortune 100 organizations such as Mayo Clinic, Johnson & Johnson and RR Donnelley in various business development and leadership roles. She earned her MBA from the University of Denver and custom-designed her emphasis in “Wellness Management.” Heather helped pioneer the Wellness industry, developing corporate wellness programs for notable names such as Boeing, Intel, Microsoft, Apple, Google and many more. Drawing upon her education and experience, she founded Intentional Prosperity that hosts several websites to serve as resources for raising the next generation based on the “Full Cycle Living” model. RaisingiGen is a community dedicated to addressing the unique problems facing families of the iGeneration (iGen/Gen Z), the children immediately following the Millennials. Heather seeks to inspire other pioneering parents of the digital natives to use parental influence to raise balanced, prosperous individuals that make positive contributions to their communities. Heather's most important job is being the Mom of four young boys, all attending Peak to Peak ranging from kindergarten to middle school. She considers herself an outdoor enthusiast, a self-reformist, and a Zumba aficionado.

Mr. Thomas Willetto

Mr. Willetto is starting his eighteenth year as a member of the Peak to Peak community. He as had a varied professional career over the last 30 years, including commercial construction and founding a successful bakery with his wife Linda that they ran together for many years, prior to selling in 2015. He then founded a business with friends that provided the opportunity to work with both horses and human athletes.

His professional experience covers a wide range of skills, such as hiring, training, project management, scheduling, and strategic and tactical planning. He was able to apply those skills during his previous membership on the Peak to Peak board, from the Fall of 2009 through the 2014-15 school year. He was re-elected to the board in the Spring of 2019 and filled the seat of a resigning board member.

The Willettos have three children, including 2009 and 2019 graduates, as well as a current 7th grader. He spends his free time cycling, playing golf, fishing, skiing and working on a deck remodeling project! Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado – Boulder.

Mr. Cole has over twenty years of business experience providing financial communications, investor relations and strategic planning counsel to private and public companies in multiple industries.  He is currently President of a strategic advisory firm specializing in investor relations, corporate communications, capital raising support and financial media relations.  Mr. Cole has served on the national Board of Directors of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), the association for the investor relations profession, as well as the Boards of the Colorado BioScience Association and the Colorado BioScience Institute, a non-profit organization focused on science education and workforce development.  At Peak to Peak, Mr. Cole has volunteered in the classroom and served on the Elementary Curriculum Committee.  His two children, a junior and a 4th grader, both attend Peak to Peak.  Outside of volunteering, he enjoys biking, hiking, and rock climbing.

Mr. Axelrod retired from the United States Army after more than 27 years of enlisted and officer service with multiple combat deployments. Mr. Axelrod served in conventional and special operations units, taught military science at the University of California Los Angeles, and served on the faculty of the United States Army’s Command and General Staff College.

Since retiring from the Army, Mr. Axelrod became a real estate broker focused on residential real estate. Mr. Axelrod previously served on Peak to Peak’s Accountability Committee before his election to the Peak to Peak Board of Directors. 

Mr. Axelrod holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and a Master of Arts from the University of Southern California. Mr. Axelrod and his wife have two children who attend Peak to Peak.

Ms. Elizabeth Gable

Mrs. Gable is President/CEO of a software development company she founded which serves the healthcare industries, primarily emergency medical services and trauma.  With a Bachelors in Neuroscience and a Masters in Health Administration from Allegheny College and Lehigh University, respectively, Mrs. Gable served in various administrative and technical capacities in hospitals prior to recognizing an underserved niche and starting her company.  Mrs. Gable currently serves as a founding board member on several local non-profit and foundation boards, and has served in various capacities on City of Lafayette and Peak to Peak committees.   Her roles at P2P for the past fourteen years include several years on the Hiring and Organization Development (HOD) committee, the Volunteer Coordination Team (VCT), the Board of Directors (BOD), as well as many classroom and special project roles.   Mrs. Gable is most passionate about her role as mom to three Peak to Peak students (a Colorado School of Mines sophomore, an 8th grader and 6thgrader) and spouse of twenty two years to Ben, a UC Santa Barbara BSECE graduate, and incredible husband and father.

Ms. Grady draws from an international background, having graduated from the German high school in Cairo, Egypt and the University of Geneva, Switzerland where she graduated with a BA in translation studies (with an emphasis on law and economics). In Switzerland, she worked for AIT, a non-profit umbrella organization of automobile clubs worldwide, organizing conferences around the globe as well as being the German language department lead. For decades, she was also involved in different aspects of her parents’ family business (German bookstore in Cairo and art publishing/photo business). Her passion around cutting-edge education and its accessibility to all learners has guided all of her pro bono work. At Peak to Peak, Ms. Grady has volunteered in classrooms, for our fundraising team, and has served for several years on the Hiring Committee as member and co-chair. Ms. Grady has three children attending Peak to Peak, and loves spending time with her family and two dogs in the great Colorado outdoors.

Ms. Kelly Reeser

Executive Director of Education

An original subscriber at Peak to Peak, Ms. Reeser has been involved at the school in many different ways since its inception. As co-chair of the first grant writing committee, she co-authored grant applications that brought in more than $1 million worth of start-up funding and other resources to support staff professional development, literacy initiatives and classroom build-out. Additionally, she served as a co-chair or member of the Hiring and Organizational Development Team since the school’s first year of operation. Prior to becoming Peak to Peak’s Executive Director of Education, Ms. Reeser served as an elected member of the board of directors. In addition to her work at Peak to Peak, Ms. Reeser’s professional background includes working with local and international companies on marketing and business communications. She also served as a consultant with the Colorado Department of Education’s Schools of Choice unit, where she worked with charter schools across the state conducting trainings, grant writing workshops, and school evaluations through the Charter Schools Support Initiative program. Ms. Reeser holds a B.A. in English from the University of Colorado and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

Executive Director of Operations

Mr. Todd’s educational background includes a BS in Economics from Purdue University, a MS in Industrial Relations from Michigan State University, and a MS in Business/Economic Development from Eastern University.  Mr. Todd began his professional career with Hewlett-Packard Company as a senior HR manager for six years in Boise, Idaho.  He then lived and worked in the inner city of Philadelphia doing community development for five years while working at Eastern University as executive director of the Adult and Professional Studies Program. Next, he served eleven years as business manager/CFO for Western Boone Schools, a public school district in Indiana.  He then moved to Fort Collins to become the director of operations for Wingshadow, a social services organization serving at-risk youth, including an alternative school with the Poudre School District.  He then worked as corporate controller for Ultimate Support Systems for three years before joining the Peak to Peak team in 2007.  Outside of Peak to Peak, he serves on the board of the Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority, periodically serves on CDE’s charter school support initiative (CSSI) team evaluating start-up charter schools, and previously served for seven years on the board of the Colorado League of Charter Schools.

Ms. Melissa Christensen

Elementary School Principal

Melissa Christensen grew up living in Texas, New Mexico, and Idaho before attending college and eventually landing in Colorado. Ms. Christensen joined Peak to Peak in 2002, teaching kindergarten, first grade, and third grade before moving into administration. Prior to serving as the elementary principal, she worked as a member of the Induction team, teacher mentor, and consultant for the Center for Professional Development. Ms. Christensen graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a double B.S. in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education; she earned her principal licensure and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with high honors from Regis University. Some of her favorite things are young children, warm weather, and homemade cookies. She is an accomplished pianist and flute player, and has served for many years as an advisor in community groups for children and youth.

Middle School Principal

Clara Quinlan received a B.A. from Hope College in Psychology and Environmental Ethics, an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Montana-Missoula, and earned her M.A. in Educational Leadership with principal licensure through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Within Peak to Peak’s community, she has served as an English instructor, grade-level leader, extended trips coordinator, Indigo Education Company liaison, ERT lead, high school assistant principal, and now the proud principal of the middle school community. Over her career, she has been honored to receive the Boettcher Foundation Educator Award, an Impact on Education Award, and two Most Inspirational Teacher Awards. She continues to chase after educational travel opportunities for all student age groups with her own travel pursuits - most recently, Alaska, Morocco and Tanzania. She also enjoys reading and writing poetry, exploring the Colorado wild with her dogs and eating fine cheese.

Mr. Kyle Mathews

High School Principal

Mr. Mathews was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He earned a BA in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College, and both an MA in History and an Ed.S. (Specialist in Education) degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Colorado at Denver. His work in international relief and development included stints living and working in Senegal and Uzbekistan. Mr. Mathews then sought an alternative teacher license, served as an adjunct professor for the University of Colorado at Denver while teaching at Peak to Peak, and became the school’s social studies department chair and an Advanced Placement teacher before transitioning to become the high school assistant principal, and then high school principal. Mr. Mathews has been recognized by Boulder Valley’s Impact on Education Foundation with a lifetime achievement award, and also supports new charter school principals and administrators as a mentor with the Colorado Department of Education.
