National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
Any student in the seventh, eighth, or ninth grade who has a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale (i.e. non-weighted) and has been a student at Peak to Peak for at least one full semester is eligible for consideration. The one semester residency rule may be waived for a NJHS member who transfers from another school and brings a letter from the former principal to the Peak to Peak adviser. In this case, the student shall automatically be accepted as a member in the Peak to Peak chapter.
