Rescheduled SMS Emergency Test for High School Students - Add Your Student's Cell Phone to IC!
  • High School

Peak to Peak has now transitioned to a 10-digit number for SMS messaging, promising to improve reliability. Now that this transition is complete, we are ready to conduct our first-ever test of the high school SMS emergency alert system.

High School students with a cell phone number entered into Infinite Campus (via the parent portal) will receive a test SMS message on Wednesday, December 3rd, at approximately 8:30am.

  • To opt your student in, update their information through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal under the 'Family Information' section. (If you already completed this during Registration or earlier this fall, no further action is needed.)
  • This system is only for emergencies when students may be off campus (e.g., last year's Secure during high school lunch that was prompted by police activity in the area). It will not be used for regular updates, like the Weekly Digest notification.
    • This will not replace parent notifications in an emergency, and will primarily be used at times when students are likely to be outside or off-campus (lunch & off-periods)
  • If students would like to receive the Tuesday evening Late Start reminder, they are invited to complete the opt-in form. Students will not be added to this list unless they have completed the form.
  • If you do not want your student to receive texts from Peak to Peak, you don't need to take any action.
  • Note: When we provided these instructions during Registration, we invited families to enter cell phone numbers for all students in 6-12th grade. We have opted not to include middle school students at this time, as they do not have off-campus privileges and are not using our outdoor facilities without a staff member.
