Reminder: Supervised Study Hall on Late Start Wednesdays

Reminder: Supervised Study Hall on Late Start Wednesdays
  • High School

As a reminder, the only supervised option available for secondary students during Late Start Wednesdays is Supervised Study Hall in the cafeteria. Families who would like to use this service must sign up in advance for the dates their student will attend. The registration form is included in the Weekly Digest on the last Friday of each month for the following month; it can also be found in the Digest Archives or in the K-12 Calendar. These study halls are staffed based on registration numbers.

  • Moving forward, if your student shows up and has not registered, they will not be admitted into the building.
  • If your student is registered but is not regularly attending, they may not be allowed to attend in the future.

Students who are registered for the supervised study hall are expected to attend for the full time, from 7:55-8:30, just as they would for a typical class period. Students will be marked absent at 8:00 and may not be allowed to attend in the future if this is a recurring issue. This is intended to be a silent study hall; students are not allowed to be on their cell phones or doing non-academic work on their chromebooks.

Student safety is our top priority. During Late Start Wednesdays, all school leaders and instructional staff are engaged in meetings and training sessions; no other supervision is available on campus until the cafeteria opens at 8:30 am.

We appreciate your partnership in keeping all students safe and supervised.
