Coaches: Joe Howard, Brian Miller, Kristina Eschmeyer, Jon Sena

The girls' basketball team finished 7th in the competitive Metro League and qualified for postseason play for the fourth consecutive year. Leaders this season included Neve Gustafson, Eva Temple-Weed, and standout freshman Faith Abraham. The Pumas fell in the first round to D’Evelyn, but the future looks bright as the team builds toward another strong season next year.

Neve Gustafson received an Honorable Mention for the CHSAA 2026 All State Teams.

Middle School Basketball

The Middle School basketball season saw strong participation across both the girls’ and boys’ programs, with three levels (A, B, and C) designed to support skill development and maximize involvement.

For the girls, the A Team (Coach Nerstad) focused on advanced offensive strategies and defensive rotations. The B Team (Coach Berman) emphasized positional play and consistent shooting, while the C Team (Coach Berman) built foundational skills such as dribbling, passing, and basic zone defense.

The boys' program followed a similar structure. The A Team (Coach Sena) worked on fast-break transition offense, set plays, and high-pressure man-to-man defense. The B Team (Coach Hall) focused on court awareness, decision-making, and defensive footwork. The C Team (Coach Hurwitz) introduced basketball IQ, rules of the game, and teamwork fundamentals like screening and rebounding.

Both programs had successful seasons, highlighted by strong individual growth and team development across all levels.
