  1. Elementary Test Scores Melissa Christensen shared promising news: all six elementary grades are currently in the high performance, high growth quadrant for literacy based on incoming test scores. More detailed results will follow as data is finalized.
  2. Spring Service Project Our K–12 Spring Service Project was a huge success! We contributed the largest single donation ever received by Humane Colorado. A big thank you to our community for the generosity and support.
  3. Middle School Achievements Clara Quinlan reported that middle school teachers Holly Martin, Erin Manzanares, and Colleen Mylott have officially reached Peak Option status. Additionally, Jake Cousins was honored as our Peak to Peak Impact on Education Award recipient.
  4. Peak Week Feedback Josh Benson presented positive feedback from Peak Week. There was a 90% positive response from students and families, and an 88% positive response from staff. A strategic conversation is planned this fall to explore increased local programming options for future Peak Weeks.
  5. Contract Negotiations The board held an executive session to continue discussions regarding our ongoing contract negotiations with BVSD. The negotiation team is scheduled to meet again next week.
  6. Upcoming Board Meeting The next board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21st at 8:15 AM in the CCC.
