New Volunteer Needs

Our teachers and staff sometimes need extra help in their classrooms, at events, on field trips, etc. Needs include in-class help, projects that can be completed at home, mentorship, weekly needs, one-time events, and more. These requests are posted on the Volunteer Page and updated regularly. New requests will also be shared here, in the Weekly Digest, each week.

Note: you must be an approved volunteer to participate in any student events or opportunities. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks to become approved. Contact zaira.nevarez-corbett@bvsd.org to verify or update your volunteer status.

Here are the newest requests from our staff:

• The elementary library needs help assembling the new bookcases for their space. If you have availability between May 12th-22nd in the mornings, they'd love your help! Reach our to erica.harlow@bvsd.org to sign up.
• The 8th grade team is seeking volunteers to help with the continuation reception on May 22nd, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Volunteers will help with cutting cake, serving, and clean up. Please contact jill.chen@bvsd.org if you'd like to help.
• Elementary Field Day is Thursday, May 15th and volunteers are needed to support the many fun stations we have planned. 3rd-5th grade will participate from 8:15-8:45 and K-2 will participate from 11:55-2:20. Sign up in this sheet. Preference is given to parents of elementary students in the participating grade.
