We know that life can feel overwhelming. Your middle school  counselors want you to know you are not alone, and we are here for you. We created this page as a resource for our students to use when you need a break, when your personal battery feels low, or when you feel You gotta nourish to flourish!"

Relaxation Space

These videos contain calming music and beautiful places and can help us take our minds away from the immediate stressors in our lives. Take a moment to find yourself a comfortable position, close your eyes, and let the peaceful sounds wash over you.

Breathing Exercises

Why is it important to take time to breathe? Breathing exercises can help you relax. Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down. It is important to take time, even if it is just a moment, to acknowledge our stress. We can then consciously remind our bodies to return to a more calm state.

Movement Breaks

Wake up your body with a movement and stretch break!

Take a finger movement break to challenge your brain. You can do this 1-minute exercise at your desk.

Try going for a daily walk and focus on breathing in the fresh air. Whether for 5 minutes, or 60 minutes, the important thing is that you are out and about moving your body.
