Secondary Library

Visit the library for:

• Quiet studying
• Quiet group collaboration with 2-3 peers
• Book & Chromebook check out
• Individual quiet reading & rejuvenation time
• Think Tank tutoring
• Think Tank testing
• Another academic reason

Remember: no phones, online gaming, or social hour. This is a K-12 space with no walls!

Also, please limit bathroom use and only go one at a time, as the restrooms are located in the K-5 space, and it disrupts their learning.

• There is no limit to the number of books a student can check out.
• Books are checked out for a period of 3 weeks.
• Class sets of required novels are available for 6 week periods.
• Students can extend their checkout period by stopping by the library.
• Summer reading books may be available for check out on a case-by-case basis.

• Single-day loaner Chromebooks are available in the Library for participating 1:Web students who forget theirs on a given day.
• Daily loaner Chromebooks must be returned at the end of the day they are checked out.
• A fine may be assessed for overdue Chromebooks.
• Long-term loaner Chromebooks are also available in the Library when a device needs to be sent in to IT for repair work. These services are only available to students who are participating in the 1:Web Program.

• There is no fine for overdue materials, although we ask students to return items before their deadline so other students may enjoy them.
• Materials that are lost or never returned are assessed a replacement cost that is added to the student's RevTrak account.

• Students are able to use their personal or 1:Web devices while in the Library for appropriate academic purposes.
• Desktop computer use is limited to quick tasks or printing purposes only.
• Additional computers are available to access the library catalogue.

• Printers are available to students at no cost.
• Students can use one of the desktop computers to print, or may be able to print from their BVSD 1:Web Chromebook.
• The printers are for the printing of school-related materials only, not personal use. School printers cannot be used to produce club materials, and should not be used for large quantity copy jobs.
• Printers can print in black and white only.
