Friends of Peak to Peak
In partnership with the Peak to Peak community and external partners, Friends of Peak to Peak exists to build support and raise essential funds for Peak to Peak Charter School towards its vision to inspire students to fulfill their academic dreams for college, to develop their creative passions and athletic talents, and to become responsible citizens.
Peak to Peak is a tuition free, donation dependent school of choice. Unlike traditional public schools, Peak to Peak operates on a funding gap of approximately $1,000 per student. During the founding years, it was necessary to incur debt to finance the construction on the original set of campus buildings, resulting in an approximate 1.4 million dollar annual payment out of the general operating budget.
Due to statewide budget cuts for the 20/21 school year, Peak to Peak is also operating under a new cut in funding of $466 per student.
Since the beginning year of Peak to Peak in 2000, it has been the contributions of the Puma community time, talent and treasure that continues to help fill that gap.
