February: Get Connected

February: Get Connected

Welcome to Peak to Peak! We are so excited you're here. Between now and May, you will receive a monthly newsletter from us with information and action items to ensure you and your child are ready to join us in the Fall. This newsletter, and all future newsletters, can be found on the New Families Page of our website.

Friends of Peak to Peak

Friends of Peak to Peak, or “Friends,” is a 501c(3) organization that supports the needs of our school and is led by a small part-time staff in partnership with parent volunteers and school leadership. Consider the Friends office to be your liaison to the various ways your family can support the school through time, talent, and treasure contributions. You will receive information on our annual community events, volunteering, and fundraising opportunities from your teachers and the Friends office as you settle into our school. There are many opportunities to be involved and connect with other Puma families. Our next opportunity is our annual Peak Gala which will be Saturday, March 8th at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield. This year’s event is themed The Future’s So Bright; it will include entertainment, a buffet, a silent auction, and a fun evening with other Peak to Peak families and supporters. New families are welcome to join the “2025 New P2P Families” table when selecting a place to sit for dinner. This is a great way to learn about Peak to Peak and jump right into our community. For questions, please contact p2p.friends@bvsd.org.

Another way you can start supporting our school right now is with your King Soopers loyalty card. When you link your King Soopers loyalty card to Peak to Peak, a percentage of all your shopping gets donated to our school at no cost to you! Sign up here.

New Student Information:

You should have received a letter from our Registrar, Vicki Newsome, earlier this month that includes important dates and information about completing enrollment at Peak to Peak. The links to those letters are listed below:

Secondary (6th-12th grade) families: Your letter contains a time-sensitive action item related to course selection; be sure to complete it as soon as possible!

Social Media:

Peak to Peak has a parent Facebook group for each grade level, from incoming Kindergarten (class of 2038) through incoming 9th grade (class of 2029) that we encourage all parents to join. This is a great place to connect with other parents before school begins and throughout your time at Peak to Peak. Use it to arrange playdates, ask questions, and get involved.

You can also follow our official school page on Facebook or Instagram. Not on social media? No worries! You can see our feed at the bottom of the Weekly Digest, our community newsletter, which is posted on our website every Friday. And we’ll always make sure you’re kept up-to-date through our regular communications as well. No information is shared on social media that isn’t also shared through our official school channels.

Summer Care Option:

Champions, our before and after school care provider, is offering a Summer Champ Camp at Prospect Ridge Academy for all 5-12 year old students. For all questions about registration and programs, you may contact Crystal Smith, Champions Area Manager, at Crystal.Smith@discoverchampions.com.

Registration information for before and after-school care will be provided in a future newsletter when it becomes available.

  • Do you know our Mission & Vision?
  • Please familiarize yourself with the Peak to Peak Strategic Plan by reading through it or watching the short introductory video. The Strategic Plan gives definition and meaning to our vision, mission, goals, and priorities for the future. You will find that the structure of a charter school allows us to be nimble and adapt as we respond to data. What remains unchanged, however, is our dedication to the mission and vision, which remains at the center of our work.
