Peak to Peak's enrollment preferences were revised as part of the contract negotiation with BVSD in 2025. The following preferences apply for the 2026-27 school year and beyond.

Applicants to Peak to Peak schools are given preference as follows:

1. Current students enrolled at Peak to Peak.
2. Sibling/Household preferences:
   1. A new student, whether they reside inside or outside of the district, whose sibling/household member has been in attendance and will be attending Peak to Peak the following year.
   2. A sibling/household member of a student accepting placement at Peak to Peak during the same open enrollment period. Note: When multiple siblings/household members apply for open enrollment at the same school and in choice order, they will be linked as siblings/household members in the lottery process.
3. A student of an eligible Peak to Peak employee, whether they reside inside or outside of the district. Eligible employees must be working for Peak to Peak at the time of the application and on the first day of the applicable school year. Note: If there is an enrollment opening at the time of employment, an employee’s children may be enrolled immediately. If there is no space available, the employee’s enrollment preference will be applied in the following school year or the next available space.
4. Students who reside within the boundaries of BVSD.
5. Students who reside outside the boundaries of BVSD and are not currently attending a BVSD school.

The number of students admitted via a preference as children of staff shall not exceed 20% of enrollment. 

Once enrolled in Peak to Peak, the school becomes the “school of attendance” for each succeeding year unless a student’s parents or legal guardian go through the open enrollment process and enroll in another school.  

The school district will notify students of their acceptance into Peak to Peak and confirm the students’ acceptance into the school.

K-12:

• Peak to Peak is a school of choice, meaning our student population is entirely open-enrolled. Enrollment is based on an unbiased lottery enrollment process run by the Boulder Valley School District.

Our History

• Peak to Peak was born of the dream of parents who envisioned a school dedicated to outstanding scholarship that would challenge students to achieve their academic potential. Peak to Peak was approved to open as a charter school in BVSD in 1998 and accepted its first students in the inaugural 1999-2000 school year.
