Students entering middle school enroll in courses specifically designed to prepare them to succeed in Peak to Peak’s advanced college preparatory high school courses. In addition, they enjoy a variety of courses such as physical education, music, theater, art, and technology. Students are also encouraged to participate in Peak to Peak’s extracurricular sports program, as well as a variety of clubs, competitions, and visual/performing arts. Middle school students enroll in courses specifically designed to prepare them to succeed in the school’s college preparatory high school courses. Students choose between either French or Spanish classes, and select electives in the arts, technology, and PE. The school is small enough to ensure that each student is known and valued, but large enough to provide a variety of academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities. Peak to Peak students nurture their artistic talents in a variety of vocal and instrumental music classes, fine arts courses, and theatrical performances. Leadership skills are honed with involvement in student council, academic competitions, “Reading Buddies,” the National Junior Honor Society, and other extracurricular activities. Peak to Peak recognizes that the acquisition of efficient work and study habits is a significant contributor to students’ sense of comfort and their eagerness to take on new challenges. Students will be taught how to organize, plan, and track their work so that they can meet their goals.
