Counseling Support Available During Distance Learning
As we navigate these unprecedented and uncertain times we are looking forward to continuing to support all our students and families. As we transition to distance learning, the College Counseling Team wanted to update you on how we can continue to support students and families virtually. Counselors plan to still provide students with academic, post-secondary and social & emotional support. Given that school counseling is best done in person - we have systems in place to support students and parents/guardians digitally. We are able to answer your questions via email, we can set up a phone conversation or a virtual meeting. Due to the larger number of emails counselors are expecting to receive please allow at least 24-48 hours for a reply.
We know that these are stressful times, but we are here to support you. Please do your best to take care of yourself and your family while at home including eating well, getting lots of sleep, feeding your soul, and doing your best to connect with others. We miss you all and look forward to being together again.
Please do not hesitate to contact your counselor if you have any questions, concerns, or need someone to talk to. If you are at a 8-10 on our safety scale (attached), please reach out directly (via email) to your counselor as soon as possible, and let your adults at home know that you need help.
