As we reach the end of our third full week of distance learning, we want to express our appreciation for all of the work you are doing to support your children’s learning at home. We know this has been a significant and challenging adjustment for everyone. We are proud of how well our students and families are doing, and of all the learning taking place. As you settle into your own patterns with the Distance Learning model, we believe that the following video has some good advice for families: BVSD's Video - Top 10 Tips for Parents during Distance Learning.
Just as families have been developing their own patterns, our teachers are also settling into their routines as we continue to shape and make adjustments to our model. Please keep in mind that teachers are fielding a lot of emails from families right now, so your patience with a response is appreciated.
We know you are all eager for an answer related to whether or not there will be a May 1st return to school. BVSD Superintendent Robert Anderson promised that a decision would be made next week, noting that this is when Governor Polis plans to make a decision about statewide school closures. We will align with BVSD regarding any closure plans and communicate the details as soon as we know them.
In the coming weeks, you will receive more information regarding End-of-Year celebrations and finals. Until then, we sincerely thank you for your support!
