Boxtops for Education

I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I am going to be passing the baton to a new volunteer coordinator for the Box Tops for Education Program.  My twelfth grade daughter is graduating and I have had the job for the past three years.  The job minimally entails collecting, processing and sending in the box tops before the three yearly deadlines.  The most difficult task is the sorting and cutting.  I have a group of people that help me out to get this done.  With help, it is mostly time intensive close to the deadlines.  This volunteer position is perfect for someone that works during the day and can't be at school.  Please let me know if you are interested and I am happy to meet with you regarding the process.

In the meantime, the next submission for box tops is coming up on June 1st.  To turn in box tops, please cut them as close to the dotted lines as possible.  Also, please check the expiration date on the front as we cannot submit any expired ones.  Place the Box Tops in the box in your children’s classroom or bin located in the lobby of the South Building.  Please have all of your Box Tops in by Wednesday, May 15th.

Each Box Top is worth 10-cents to the school and can be found on many products you buy at the grocery store, including General Mills, Betty Crocker, Ziploc, Avery and more.  Don’t forget that grandparents, neighbors, and friends are also a great source of the Box Tops.  Let’s see if we can finish up the year strong!  Please direct any questions to me at Carey Beneke at
