Peak Week 2023!

This March 20-24 marks our inaugural “Peak Week”, five days during which our high school students will embark on unique and unforgettable courses run by our fabulous staff. This experiential education initiative is the culmination of much dreaming and brainstorming by our staff, students, and community throughout the years. We anticipate this week being one that students look back at as some of their most memorable times at our school.

Please see our Course Descriptions for instructions on registration for this important week.

New:  9th Grade Overnight Field Trip Cancelation Notice

Dear 9th Grade Students and Families,

We are disappointed to inform you that the 9th grade overnight retreat that had been tentatively scheduled for October 10th - 12th has been canceled due to rising costs. For any families that have already paid the $195 fee, please expect a full refund in the next 7 to 10 days. Despite this cancellation we are very excited for all of our freshman specific opportunities this semester including Chuck-the-Chicken on 9/13, our ice cream social on 10/7, and the Cocoa and Cram event on December 6th. This is in addition to all the other fall events like spirit week and our homecoming dance which are open to our 9th grade students. We are also excited for the new experiential learning opportunities provided by the addition of Peak Week to the spring semester. We will continue to look for creative ways to build community among all of our students including those newest to the high school hallways. Thank you for your understanding.

New: Indigo Notification 22-23 for 9th Grade Families

Dear 9th grade Families,

Peak to Peak’s focus on social emotional education has never been more important than it is today. In support of these efforts, your ninth grader will have the opportunity to participate in a strengths-based, learning style and career assessment in their 9th grade English classes. This assessment, called the Indigo Inventory, brings together four sciences of behaviors, motivators, skills, and perceptions. We are in our ninth year of educational partnership with the Indigo Education Company; our school community has been inspired by the strengths-based differentiation this tool has offered us in our work with students in various arenas and across grade levels. While no singular assessment can reveal the full dynamic potential in each of us, we have found that the Indigo Inventory is a useful tool for our high school students as they gain the insight and language to express themselves. We hope these results will empower your 9th grader to reflect on their current strengths, advocate for their learning style and needs, and help us effectively mentor and encourage growth in your student. Like all surveys at Peak to Peak, the Indigo assessment is voluntary. Please contact high school counseling or administration with any questions.
