NEW! BVSD Annual Data Update

If you have not yet done BVSD's Annual Data Update (ADU) for your students, please complete that process as soon as possible.  All Peak to Peak families should complete the "Annual Data Update".  Families can also familiarize themselves with the BVSD Student Rights and Responsibilities information, but Peak to Peak has a separate student handbook that families sign off on as part of our August registration forms.  Here is a link to BVSD's ADU Webpage.

NEW!  Food Services Update

We are so excited that your student will be on campus next week and participating in the Peak to Peak food services program!  This year we will NOT BE OFFERING FREE MEALS FOR ALL.  This decision was made by the USDA.  Just a reminder that your student must have available funds in their account in order to purchase food. Drop boxes for cash or check payments can be found in the lobby of the South building or in the cafeteria.  Credit card payments can be made through https://www.mypaymentsplus.com (MPP).  You must have your student ID# in order to set up the MPP account.  Please choose P2P as the district, NOT BVSD.

MyPaymentsPlus allows viewing of current balances, payment/purchase history, and setting parameters for an auto-replenish using a credit card.  By choosing this option, electronic mail will notify you when funds run low. If there is a need for financial assistance, applications for the free and reduced lunch program are available in the front office or can be downloaded from the Peak to Peak website.

With the rising cost of food, gas, and delivery surcharges, we are forced to increase our prices for this upcoming year.  These increases are in alignment with the BVSD district.  Prices are as follows:

K-12 Breakfast:  $2.50
K-5 Lunch: $4.00
6-8 Lunch:  $4.25
9-12 Lunch:  $4.50

Please feel free to contact me at 303-453-4782 if you need help resolving any issues.

Take good care,
Elizabeth Begley
Food Services Program Manager

NEW! Traffic and Parking Plan 2022-2023

Please review this K-12 traffic plan and this campus map which highlight the traffic flow for daily drop-off and pick-up of students.  For the first few weeks of school, traffic on campus will undoubtedly be heavy and congested, so please be patient and considerate.  Please follow the guidelines to allow for a safer and more pleasant experience.  Also, keep in mind that traffic will improve in a few weeks as carpools get established and people stagger the times that they arrive.  Please note that Puma Drive is a one-way entrance at all times, and Canterbury Drive is a one-way exit at all times.  Also, please DO NOT park on the side streets off Spaulding Street.  These are private drives and we want to honor our neighbors.

NEW!  Composting & Recycling

Please help our student community compost and recycle appropriately! Please view these slides with your student(s) prior to the first day back and gently remind them to look for signs in a cafeteria on where to correctly put their items. Additionally, we need help with cafeteria volunteers for the two weeks of school. If you have time to help us during one or more lunches, please sign up using the URL:  https://url.peaktopeak.org/lunchhelp. Your main role will be to stand by a compost/recycling station and re-norm students.

Thank you so much for your support!
Monika Bunting and Christie French

NEW! COVID Protocols

Any individual who tests positive for COVID must isolate at home for at least 5 days after symptoms began and until:

  1. They have had no fever for at least 24 hours — without the use of fever-reducing medicines,  AND

  2. Symptoms are improving.  If symptoms do not develop, count 5 days from when the test was administered

Individuals are then recommended to wear a well-fitted mask for the next 5 days when around others. A negative COVID test is NOT required to return after testing positive.  Families no longer need to notify the school of positive cases.

Masks are optional for students, staff, and community members on site.

Finally, BVSD and Peak to Peak will no longer have COVID testing on site.  Here is the list of testing sites for your convenience:  https://covid19.colorado.gov/testing

NEW! Communication Pathways

At Peak to Peak, we strive for positive, open, and inclusive, two-way communication with our families. To facilitate this goal and to ensure we can address your needs as quickly and efficiently as possible, we use The Communication Pathways as a problem-solving strategy and the Principals for Effective Dialogue to guide a positive experience. The Communication Pathways create an effective and respectful process to resolve and address issues that arise. We have found our dialogue to be particularly productive and mutually beneficial when all parties adhere to the recommended Principles for Productive Dialogue. Please know that when you are seeking information or answers to questions, we always welcome conversations with any member of our community.

NEW! RTD Information

There is an RTD bus stop on the west end of campus near the intersection of Merlin Drive and Spaulding Street. Please visit the RTD website for routes and information. Currently, there seem to be only 3:01 and 4:11 PM pick-up times.  We strongly urge any families that would like those times changes to directly contact RTD.  They adjusted the times based on community input.

  • Volunteers for back-to-school events:  Please sign up here to help with the corn hole tournament, homecoming tailgate and more!  We appreciate our volunteers and welcome you on campus!

  • Volunteers needed for High School and Middle School math:  Ms. Chakraborty-Spotts is seeking volunteers for her 4th and 6th period classes.  She would provide the materials and support.  Please contact her directly, anita.chakraborty-sp@bvsd.org.

  • Cafeteria recycling and composting volunteers needed for August:  To help our K-12 students re-norm expectations and guidelines around composting and recycling, we're looking for volunteers to help in the cafeteria starting in August. Please see this slideshow to understand how volunteers will help us in the cafeteria and click here to sign-up for one or more dates. Thank you for helping us divert waste from landfills and teach our students about the importance of composting!

Volunteer Information

Once on-site volunteering resumes, we will continue to request fingerprints from anyone who intends to volunteer more than once during the school year.  If you had your fingerprints done previously and completed our volunteer waiver and release form then you do not need to complete any volunteer paperwork this year!  Please make sure you have a photo volunteer ID card with a barcode on the back.  If you do not have a photo ID card please stop by the Volunteer Station at registration or contact the office staff.  Please contact Traci Schoeneweis or 303-453-4682 to verify your volunteer status if you are unsure.

If you only intend to volunteer once then you will be required to do the background check (not fingerprints) and the volunteer waiver and release form each year.  You will be given a one-time volunteer ticket to turn in when you volunteer the one time.  Please follow this link to print them or pick them up at registration:  Volunteer Information

Volunteer training is online.  Anyone that is new to the school needs to view this before volunteering.  If you have previously attended or taken the volunteer training you do not need to do it again.  It’s a good idea for returning volunteers to view this as well for a refresher on protocols.  Follow this link Volunteer Training to view the information.  It can also be found on the volunteer page of the school website.

Your Volunteer Team would love to hear from you. If you have any interest in volunteering for anything at all but do not know where to start please email either Allie Cross or Rachel Hirt, Volunteer Coordinators.  They would love to meet you!
