Spelling Bee

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is designed to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.

What is it?

Preliminary rounds are completed in classrooms, and the final round is held in the Auditeria after school. One competition is for elementary and one is for secondary.?
  • Elementary, grades 3-5
  • Secondary, grades 6-8

When can I start?
Practice for the Spelling Bee can begin any time at home. Peak to Peak will send two school bee winners to the district competition held at Monarch High School on February 7, 2015. Our school bees are held in mid-December or early January.

Program Fee:
There are no program fees for this activity. Travel expenses may accrue if student participates in District competition.
