The College Counseling Center would like to introduce you to our new form of communication for our announcements, events, reminders, and relevant articles. We hope you get to learn some more about the work we do and how we support our amazing students.

 

NEW Mandatory 10th, 11th, 12th Grade Parent/Guardian Counseling Curriculum Night

Featuring National Speaker & Author of New York Times Bestseller Queen Bees & WannabesRosalind WIseman

Rosalind Wiseman will provide us with tips on how to naviagate the challenges of parenting teenagers. This is a unique opportunity that you won’t want to miss. Peak to Peak Counseling has combined parent nights into one evening. If you have multiple children attend the sessions for your eldest child.

NEW 2016 College Day - Wednesday, September 28th

Save the Date! Over 120 colleges have already registered - list to be released next week! Please make sure your student doesn't miss this important school day.

Students will sign up for College Day presentations on the following schedule:

  • 12th Grade: Tuesday, September 13th
  • 11th Grade: Friday, September 16th
  • 10th Grade: Monday, September 19th
  • 9th Grade: No sign up - all students attend college panels
  • Make Up Day: Tuesday, September 20th

Parent/Guardian Opportunities:

  • Volunteer for College Day! If you are interested in helping set up or run College Day, please email brian.rauscher@bvsd.org
  • New Parent/Guardian Workshops on College Day - 4 colleges will be presenting to parents only this year. Details coming soon!

Class of 2017 - SENIORS


NEW Wednesday Email Updates for Seniors

Each Wednesday, Mr. Rauscher will email seniors and their parents/guardians with important college deadlines, events, and reminders. This week will include new scholarship announcements, as well as details about senior meetings and local college open house events.


NEW Seniors College Work Sessions - Starting this Friday!

Beginning on Friday, September 2nd, the College Counseling Center's conference rooms have been reserved every Friday for seniors only to come work on college and scholarship applications and essays with the help of Mr. Rauscher and Counselors. Seniors are welcome to come during lunch or sign out of their study hall or a student aide period (ONLY if you've finished other assigned work).
