Middle School Reminder: Coffee With Counselors
Please join the Middle School Counselors for our first ever “Coffee With Counselors”. Come to one; come to all!
Monday, May 15th @ 8 AM in the College Counseling Center,
Netflix's 13 Reasons Why; How to Engage in the Discussion with Your Student
Teens all over the world are streaming the Netflix series, “13 Reasons Why.” The series, based on the young adult novel by Jay Asher, explores hard issues like online bullying, rape, and suicide. Because youth today so often watch shows alone on their personal devices, it is imperative that we engage and have conversations with our teens about these intense subjects.
We will briefly talk about the series and then engage in a dialogue specific to supporting your students using talking points from a variety of generated process questions. You do not need to have watched the series to participate!
