Senior Graduation

• Senior Posters: 
  •  Senior posters are optional, but fun! They will be displayed in the high school hallway to celebrate our graduating class.
    • Size: No larger than standard poster board
    • Drop-off: High School Hub or Main Office, anytime after Spring Break
    • Laminating: Free through the school if the poster has no 3D elements and is dropped off before April 28th
    • Pick-Up: Night of Reflections or Senior Breakfast
• Transition to College Night: Date TBD
  • Parents/guardians are invited to join the high school counseling team for guidance on preparing for their senior's transition to college and life after high school. This event is for parents/guardians only.
• AP Testing: Begins in Early May
  • Ap exams typically begin the first full week of May, according to the College Board schedule. Exams and makeup exams may overlap with senior events or occur after graduation.
  • If you anticipate an exam conflict, contact Testing Coordinator James Fuller (james.fuller@bvsd.org) to discuss possible arrangements. Peak to Peak works to minimize conflicts between senior events and exams, but some conflicts are unavoidable.
• Senior Finals: May 10th, 8-10 am in the CCC
  • ​​​​​​​Teachers will communicate directly with students about class-specific finals.
• Required ​​​​​​​Senior Check Out: May 11th, 8-10 am or 12:30-2 pm
  • All graduating seniors must complete Senior Checkout during one of the provided time slots. We strongly encourage students to attend the morning session so they have time to locate missing items or complete outstanding tasks if needed.
  • ​​​​​​​Before checkout: Please pay any outstanding fines or fees.
  • After completing checkout, seniors will receive:
    • Cap and Gown
    • Stoles, cords, pins, and other regalia
    • Graduation ceremony tickets
    • Diploma
    • Other senior items
    • Athletic banners
• Senior Tunnel: May 11th at 10:15
  • ​​​​​​​One of Peak to Peak's oldest traditions, the Senior Tunnel brings our K-12 community together to celebrate and send off the graduating class. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
• Night of Reflections: May 12th, 6-8 pm in the Cafeteria
  • ​​​​​​​Seniors and their parents/guardians are invited to join our High School Principal for an evening of memories and reflection on their Peak to Peak journey.
  • Please bring an item to share based on your last name:
    • ​​​​​​​A-G: Drinks​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
    • H-P: Salty snacks
    • Q-Z: Sweet snacks
• Senior Breakfast, Class Photo, and Mandatory Rehearsal: May 14th, 8-10 am in the Cafeteria & NE Gym
  • Seniors should arrive at 8:00 am with their cap, gown, stole, and tassel for the formal panoramic class photo in the high school gym.
    • The Lifetouch class photo will be available for online ordering. Ordering information will be shared during senior checkout or as soon as it becomes available.
  • Senior Breakfast will immediately follow the photo in the Cafeteria
  • Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal will start after breakfast and conclude by 10 am.

The graduation ceremony for 2027 is on Friday, May 14th at 5:00 PM in the Northeast (high school) Gym.

Doors open at 4:00 PM.

Tickets:

• Graduation is a ticketed event. Each senior is given 8 tickets during Senior Checkout. Everyone attending graduation needs a ticket (except for the graduates).
• Need additional tickets? Families are encouraged to ask other senior families if they have extras. Additional tickets will be available at the door beginning at 4:00 PM, first come, first served.

Senior Arrival & Attire

• Seniors must arrive at the northwest (middle school) gym by 4:00 PM, fully dressed in their Peak to Peak cap and gown.
• Only Peak to Peak-provided regalia is allowed to be worn during the ceremony.
• Seniors may decorate their caps as long as decorations are school-appropriate, do not extend beyond the edge of the cap, and are no more than one inch tall.

Ceremony

• Doors open at 4:00 PM
• Ceremony begins at 5:00 PM and typically lasts no more than 90 minutes.
• The graduation ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM and typically lasts no more than 90 minutes.
• The ceremony will be live-streamed via Zoom and later posted to the Peak to Peak YouTube channel.

Graduation Photos

• Lifetouch will photograph each graduate as they cross the stage. Photos will be available online approximately one week after graduation.
• Want to be notified when photos are ready? More information coming this Spring.

Beginning with the Class of 2026, all graduation regalia is ordered in bulk from Jostens and covered by student fees. Seniors will be sent a Google Form in the fall to share their height information and ensure the correct size is ordered. 

We will not order caps and gowns until we have heard from every single student. If you do not hear from us, assume that we have your student's information.

Additional commemorative items can be ordered directly from Jostens website in the fall. Caps and gowns will be distributed during Senior Checkout the week of graduation.

Senior Portraits & Quotes

Senior Portraits and Senior Quotes are due to Jostens by Friday, October 30th. 

Please keep the following photo requirements in mind when selecting your student's photo:

• Vertical Headshot of student - all landscape-oriented photos will be cropped
• At least 300 DPI, 2:3 ratio
• JPEG Files only
• Natural light portraits recommended
• Students should be appropriately dressed - no hate speech, foul language, guns, etc. in photos. 
• Naming convention: Lastname.Firstname.jpg
• Seniors who do not upload a portrait will have their Lifetouch ID photo used in the yearbook
• Senior quotes will appear below your senior portrait. Quotes are shared with high school administrators for approval before printing.
